Embracing Change, Innovation, and the Human Side of Compliance
Last week, I had the privilege of joining Tom Fox on his FCPA Compliance Report podcast. It was a conversation that reminded me why I stepped into this field nearly two decades ago—and why I’ve chosen to push its boundaries ever since.
We talked about my journey: from a traditional compliance professional behind the keyboard, to creating more human-centered, innovative approaches that connect with people where they are. Along the way, I’ve learned that compliance isn’t just about rules and regulations—it’s about people, culture, and the stories we tell.
Some key themes from our discussion:
Change is not optional. The world keeps moving, and so must we.
Middle managers matter. They are often the real bridge between strategy and culture.
Engagement is everything. Whether through social media, training, or conversations, compliance needs to feel alive and relatable.
Growth is personal. Being coachable, open to feedback, and willing to reinvent yourself is the key to staying relevant.
I also shared more about my new venture, Ethical Edge Experts LLC, where our goal is to make compliance not just understood, but embraced—by making it personal, practical, and impactful.
If you’re interested in rethinking how compliance can engage and inspire, I invite you to listen to the full conversation here:
